Keep on Blogging      Grades 5–9
Do you like chatting on AOL or sending text messages to your friends? Here’s a chance to post and share camp news online and get feedback overnight. We’ll create our own Summer Place blog, interview, photograph, and report on daily activities, and upload our stories and photos. What do you have to say?

Ready for Press      Grades 5–9
Do you love to read In Style, Seventeen, Sports Illustrated, or US Weekly? Now you too can be the creator, editor, and writer of your very own magazine! Add crosswords, advice columns, images, and articles until you have created the perfect reflection of you! You can design every aspect of your own publication, and your work will be exhibited in an interactive and eye-catching finished product.

Television Production
In both the News and the Talk Show Workshops, you will get hands-on opportunities to practice in front of and behind the camera. Experience the thrill of creating TV shows in the University’s state-of-the-art television studio. Practice being the next ‘Brian Williams’ or ‘Oprah’ or learn to do camera work, audio, teleprompting, directing, and many other vital functions in a real, fully equipped TV facility. At the end of this class you’ll leave with a better understanding of how programs are made and you’ll have a VHS or DVD copy of your program to share with family and friends.
