Each session, organizers plan an off-campus trip that encourages campers to step outside of their comfort zones and open themselves up to new and varied experiences. In past summers, campers went canoeing on the Farmington River, hiking to Heublein Tower, and orienteering at the West Hartford reservoir. The tentative 2014 schedule includes a trip to Six Flags New England during Session I, a trip to Rocky Neck State Park beach in Session II, and a visit to Brownstone Quarry in Portland during Session III. (Please note that these are subject to change.) In addition, trips are planned for high- and low-ropes activities, orienteering and numerous off-campus community service projects.
